Activities

In addition to the traditional leisure activities such as fitness classes, religious services, arts, or crafts, NHC offers innovative activities such as outings on our handicap bus. Outings are taken to the Tennessee Aquarium, Chattanooga Nature Center, Senior Olympics, various restaurants, etc.

The activities director plans a wide variety of programs and social functions. Cooking, gardening and other activities that patients enjoy are often included in rehabilitation programs

Aside from the planned group activities, dayrooms are available for you to reserve through the Activity Department if you would like to have a birthday party or a family gathering.

An in-room program is designed specifically for patients who can not participate in the group activities. This program works toward the same purposes in improving the patient’s health and well being.

Newspaper delivery, cable TV hook-ups and telephone services are easily arranged. A Beauty/ Barber shop is also available at the center.
